First I thought this band would play Thrash Metal, although the fine Warrior-coverartwork reminds on powerful 80s Metal, but in fact its a mixture between KILLERS and ADX and something unique, but Thrash influences are not in every song.

A lot of interesting material is put on this album, but also a few boring fillers. Especially "Les corsaires bleus" is a Thrash Metal-song made like thousands before and has some totally uninspired shout-parts. But back to the good stuff: "Les dernier des hommes" or some TRUST-like moment in "L crime paie" are done very well, so its obvious that the band has their best moments when they play more melodic stuff.

While playing in the thrash-direction the stuff looses potential and cannot convince, but each time the band goes to be experimental with melody and power its very interesting to listen to it. The vocalist shows his ability really fine in "Combattre, Vaincre, régner" and the title-track of the album. These songs which are also musically something like a combination of all the band is able to do: Fine vocals combined with good songwriting and outstanding musicianship, give a big hope for the future. The whole CD is very "french" sounding in harmonies, so maybe this whole thing is useful only for open minded listeners, but not for the ones who expect allways the same thing and mainly US-Metal-like stuff. Such a sound is very far away from what SIGIS are playing.

Sadly the sound sometimes is a bit weak but this is normal for a private pressing. So we wait for the next album with curiousity!
